Privacy Policy
We built Verentics for churches. We collect only what we need to run the service, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account at any time.
1. Who we are
Verentics is a software service operated by George Kelada, based in the Netherlands. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What data we collect
We collect the following personal data when you use Verentics:
- Account information: email address, first and last name, church name, city, country, and username — provided by you at signup.
- Usage data: actions you take in the app (translating songs, downloading presentations, presenting Bible passages). This is used to manage your credit balance and to improve the service.
- Song and presentation data: Arabic lyrics you paste and the resulting translations and slides. These are stored in your personal library.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser type, collected automatically by our hosting provider (Render) for security and abuse prevention.
3. How we use your data
- To provide and operate the Verentics service
- To manage your account, credits, and subscription
- To send you transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
- To improve and develop new features
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to any third party.
4. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate Verentics:
- Supabase (supabase.com) — database, authentication, and file storage. Data is stored on servers within the EU.
- OpenAI (openai.com) — AI translation of Arabic lyrics. Lyrics you submit are sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI's data policy applies.
- Render (render.com) — server hosting.
- Stripe (stripe.com) — payment processing, when applicable. We never store your card details.
5. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are based in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights:
- Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Deletion: request that we delete your account and all associated data.
- Portability: request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection: object to how we process your data.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
6. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete all personal data within 30 days. Song and presentation data in public libraries may be anonymised rather than deleted.
7. Cookies
Verentics uses a small number of cookies required to keep you logged in (session cookies). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
8. Children
Verentics is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email if we make significant changes. The latest version is always available at verentics.com/privacy.
